The Howden Court is a happy, friendly, family run hotel. Peter & Gail, the proprietors, are always pleased to be at your service. The hotel is ideal for families, the grounds are large and great for the children to enjoy - they love our Wendy House!

We are only 15 yards from TORQUAY LAWN TENNIS CLUB!

We are constantly striving to provide a better product & service for our guest, many of whom return year after year and sometimes visit us several times in one year!  We have now completed the renovation work to seaview rooms on the first floor along with the installation of a new passenger lift.  Watch this space for news on whats happening next! Winter 2007 new garden retaining wall completed!

There are many ways to relax at the Howden Court. The hotel has a games room with dart board, pool table and table tennis. The full programme of entertainment makes the bar a great fun place to be in the evenings and it's a nice way to meet new friends.

Note that the hotel reception, bar, dining room, lounge and garden are all on the ground level - no steps!

We have the added advantage of access to Croft Meadow Walk - a private pathway that leads to within 100 metres of Torquays main beach!
