The Olympic Dream
Those people who know our family are aware that all 4 of our kids are keen swimmers. Our third child Tom has represented Team Great Britain for a number of years across many international events. He was selected to compete for England at the Commonwealth Games 2018 in Gold Coast, Australia where he placed 8th in the final!! Gail and Becky had the privilige of watching him live in Gold Coast.
Tom competes at 50m and 100m freestlye and is a junior british record holder.
UPDATE: TOM NOW LIVES IN DUBLIN AND IS IN TRAINING FOR PARIS 2024 OLYMPIC GAMES. WE WILL KNOW BY EARLY SUMMER IF HE HAS MADE THE TEAM TO REPRESENT IRELAND AT THE OLYMPICS 2024.

About Us
Built in 1860 Howden Court Hotel is a period Grade II listed property and retains many of the architectural features of the day.
We are a famiy run hotel located in the centre of Torquay. The hotel includes for a 3/4 acre garden with access via 'Croft Meadow Walk' private pathway to Torquay Seafront and Harbour.
We are constantly striving to provide a better product & service for our guests, many of whom return year after year and sometimes visit us several times in one year!
We offer coach holidays throughout the year and pick up from a variety of locations - check out 'Coach' page for more details.
We have 30 guest bedrooms; 10 of which have ‘Wet Room’ facilities - also ask us about our ‘Superior Rooms’.
Note, we are not Star Rated; we came out of the 'Star Rating' system many years ago. We believe a true reflection of what a hotel offers can be found via review sites such as TripAdvisor. Howden Court has won TripAdvisor's 'Certificate of Excellence' for the last 7 consecutive years which gained us a spot in the TripAdvisor 'Hall Of Fame' for 2019. We also won the TripAdvisor 'Travellers Choice' 2019; it's been another successful, busy year.
